It was actually lightly planned that our family will be celebrating New Year at Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club at Hamilo Coast, Nasugbu, Batangas. Mom has booked a unit already good for 5-6 people through Jenny’s Place who happens to be a very generous owner. But come New Year’s day, the weather was a bit harsh plus my little brother is severely sick with flu. After several discussions and calls, we finally pushed through and arrived there at around 3 PM. The weather was still unwelcoming but it did not stop me and my sister to go swimming at the Country Club.
Aside from the swimming pools, the sports centers (badminton, tennis, basketball) and other recreation activity areas such as Wii room are located in the Country Club. The Country Club is open to all guests. 🙂
The Beach Club on the other hand can only accomodate members and accompanied guests who shall be endorsed earlier of the day.
We had dinner at the Sun Coral Cafe located in the Beach Club. The food we had were gambas, calamari, mexican chicken wings, pizza, surf and turf, and rocket salad without the rocket (sadly, no arugula 🙁 ). Within your stay, you have to purchase a reloadable cash card which you have to use to pay for all the purchases and rents in the resort.
The next day, we woke up early (and by early I mean 7-8 AM) and walked by the beach which I fell in love with. We also did a little bit of beach volleyball after.
I fell in love with the beach. I told myself that I’m never liking the idea of spending the day by the beach, but hey, it’s 2015 and everybody changes. I do hope I’ll be able to hit more waters before the year ends!
My little brother miraculously felt better that day and was able to take the last dip at the Beach Club before going home. Also, the breakfast at Sun Coral Cafe is yum! 🙂
New Year by the beach? Not bad at all! I say 100% that I would love to go back… and stay a little bit longer. This adventure made me love the beach which may explain the recent cravings of sea water.
Thank you again to Jenny’s Place for being so accomodating and generous. If ever I’ll be back, I would not think twice of dealing with them again. Also, hi to Kat who I saw by the beach, who I #caughtgramming, and who stayed in the same building (Miranda) as we did. Sucks that I lost my balls to even get to say hello to her. Lol. 🙂
2015 is to more beaches!
