The Sunday Currently Vol. 18

I woke up to a gloomy Sunday morning with the thought that it wasn’t past 8 yet because I have fully committed to myself the night before that I am going to attend the 9 AM mass in the nearby church.

Tick tock. 09:15, I’m obviously late and I’m not going to make it.

I helped myself by grabbing a bowl of cereals and waiting for them to get soggy in soymilk. I slurped into my food while watching The Little Death recommended by Maine.

An hour and half later, I get dressed and stopped by the bank to get some cash, went to church to say some prayers, ate Jollibee for lunch, and finally settled at a small coffee shop (featured image) by the road. As of this writing, I have less than three hours before my shift at work starts.

I was originally planning to get the work done on my books that were left unread in the past 2 years but some fanfics roadblocked me along the way. So currently, I’m reading a fic called Nobody Shines The Way You Do. This is my third and I’m on a roll. cc: @Mary

This coffee shop is so hushed all I can listen to is the water dripping from their leaked faucet.

Don’t even get me started because I’ve been thinking of some silly boyband member since last night.

I’m smelling the aroma of my peach tea and how I wish I have someone, even a stranger, to share this cuppa.

I’m high key hoping for something personal that, in all time, it is nothing serious. I am actually praying that it gets away.

Truth be told, I’m loving the sort of flexible work schedule that I have. I have to find time plotting weekend (or rest day) getaways though. I’d really want to spend some “me” time somewhere private and unpeopled.

I’m clicking on this Buzzfeed article and I want you to click on this too (and read it of course).

The Sunday Currently Vol. 17

Let’s pretend that I wasn’t MIA for almost a year. I can’t even fathom how I’ll explain the very very long hiatus that I took. Nonetheless, I still renewed the domain because I can’t afford to lose all the content I was able to put up the past year. Likewise, I know that along the way I’ll be needing an outlet to pour everything out that’s why there’s no other choice than keeping this blog in. :)

In an unpopular news, I am now employed! Hit the 3-month mark already!!!

  • reading some Asian food recipes that I intend to remake once I get home tomorrow. I’ll be whipping up the gochujang (Korean hot pepper sauce) that I bought the other week at town. Maybe a big bowl of bibimbap? YAS!
  • writing , actually re-writing the notes I took down from work because I intend to be better on my job this year. WHAT CHESTER IS THAT YOU????
  • listening  to Hold On, We’re Going Home by Drake (Spotify is on shuffle. A while ago it was the entire One Direction discography playing. lol)
  • thinking what I’ll be missing in the next days. My family’s heading up to Baguio for a couple of days and I can’t even join them because…. work.
  • smelling nothing. I’ve been nursing a terrible cough and colds for a week now.
  • wishing I could get more vacation days? Is that possible?
  • hoping this terrible combo of cough and colds will go away.
  • wearing my big shirt and shorts because OMG I GAINED SO MUCH WEIGHT.
  • loving my new laptop which I acquired through my own money. This is my first ever purchase using my hard earned salary. It feels so good!
  • wanting to get my laptop a decent case and a screen protector.
  • needing a haircut. Also, I need to get well soon.
  • feeling a little bit better than the past few days. But I gotta get back to 100% asap. :(
  • clicking through my facebook and twitter feed.

How ya’ll doin’? :)

The Sunday Currently Vol. 16

Happy Easter everyone. I’m currently having a good time here at Pico de Loro with the family for some staycationing happening on the side. I’ve tweeted a few minutes ago that I’m missing this volume but since I’m alone at the lobby and the data is quite at its normal speed, might as well draft a post.

  • reading comments in moderation in my blog. I wasn’t aware that replying (and returning) comments would be such a task as well.
  • writing this blog post alone.
  • listening  to the crickets which I think lurk from the trees in the lagoon across our unit.
  • thinking of snorkeling tomorrow before going home.
  • smelling a pungent odor from the room’s mop. eeew.
  • wishing that we could stay longer here in Pico. But we can’t because the sister is going back to school on Tuesday.
  • hoping I could wake up early tomorrow to catch up with the sunrise.
  • wearing a shirt and super soft shorts that I bought from H&M.
  • loving it here in Pico. I would definitely go back again and again!
  • wanting to sleep earlier and refrain from waking up at 9 because it’s already late for me!
  • needing a hair treatment because my hair is frizzy as hell.
  • feeling a little bit energetic. Maybe because of the coffee.
  • clicking my snapchat! Hit me at @ chestervizconde! Boo yah!

How was Holy Week everyone? How was the weekend?
